The Killers - Album Art

Album CD cover art for a band named 'The Killers'. Falls under the category of Packaging > CDs. While the cover for 'Sawdust' is pretty simple and common (besides the log-arm), what i like about both covers is the "The Killers" typeface. While it lokos quite classic in terms of structure, the use of the dot structure gives it a sense of freshess and trendiness. In the second cover, they used a honeycomb/mosaic kind of texture, the purple colours used are quite subtle and calm, while the yellow contrasts the subtleness with a hint of energy, much like their songs.

  1. From that first cover album, i really like the ability that upon first glance, its difficult to realise that the broken tree morphs into a hand, while a second glance is able to provide this realisation.

Although never listening to their music i can only agree with your description in your second image that the colour choice and its symbolism is in direct cohesion with their own music

  2. i do agree with joseph i like the first one alot more coming from a design point. but i do like their music and the colours on the second on reflect them more

but every artist changes their music over their albums, so its only natural the artwork would change to.

but my favorite is the first one, i really love it, and it would look great even as a poster.
